Dreamweaver Set Up site and Using FTP Tool
Steps for setting up your site to publish directly to your hosting account.
1. Choose your site name.
2. What is the HTTP address (url) of your site?
http://www.yourdomain.com
Click next.
3. Do you want to work with server technology..
Click no, you can always change this option later.
Click next.
4. Choose edit local copies on my machine. Click next.
5. How do you connect to your remote server.
Choose FTP.
What is the hostname or FTP address of your Web server?
Enter www.yourdomain.com
What folder on the server do you want to store your files in?
Enter public_html/
What is your FTP login?
Enter your user name for your cPanel login. (not your billing email address)
What is your FTP password?
Enter your cPanel password and click save next to the box.
Do not check - Use Secure FTP (SFTP)
You may now check connection.
Click next.
6. This screen is your choice. We suggest choosing - No do not enable check in and check out.
7. Site is now set up click done.
